Do you qualify for a VA Loan?

The VA sets the qualifying standards and terms for VA loans, with the major benefit being that no down payment is required unless specified by the lender.

To qualify, you must meet one of these criteria:

  • 90 consecutive days of service during wartime
  • 181 days of active service during peacetime
  • 6 years of service in the National Guard or Reserves

Spouses of deceased service members who died in the line of duty or from a service-related disability also qualify.
